Capital.com is frankly an exceptional brokers. The platform experience is second-to-none and the range of tradable instruments puts it up there competing with some of the best brokers around.

Capital.com: Broker Review 2026

Capital.com is one of those brokers you’ve heard about, or at least think you’ve heard about before… The name is catchy, the website is clean, but how do they perform as a broker? How do they stack up vs the competition like Pepperstone or IG for UK traders? Here is the ultimate Capital.com broker review for UK traders.

TLDR: Capital.com is suited to intermediate, beginner and advanced traders. There is almost no area where Capital.com doesn’t perform well. Their quick onboarding process, clean charting and thematic trading makes this one of the cleanest platforms for traders of all skill levels.

The stand-out feature was their native webtrader and mobile app experience. Capital.com wins our award for ‘Best Platform Experience’.

Capital.com's Homepage July 2026

What I wanted to figure out when opening an account was whether Capital.com lived up to the hype, and honestly… they beat my expectations. I went in with relatively low expectations, thinking: ‘Oh this is just another broker, I can safely say now that I’ve traded with them, it would feel like a downgrade going to another broker!

Here’s what I found out:

Best Platform Experience for UK Traders

Not only does Capital.com offer 5,500+ instruments to trade, they also have a clean native platform experience, speedy onboarding process, spread betting and much more. They prove that they can play with the ‘big-boy’ brokers and compete easily.

In Summary: Capital.com is not a mid-tier broker. They compete with IG & CMC Markets in the UK and they pose real competition to these ‘established’ brokers. Capital.com offers tight spreads, spread betting options, market analysis, beginner education, great customer service and an exceptional native webtrader platform.

I’d recommend using Capital.com if you are looking for a broker that provides everything you like about IG or CMC but for the 21st century. It’s modern, young and clean. The best way to imagine it is take all the best bits from Trading 212 and combine it with the best from IG, then add a dollop of TradingView.

  • £20 minimum deposit

Verdict: Capital.com is a great broker for intermediate, advanced and beginner traders. They are FCA-regulated in the UK, offer spread betting as well as CFD trading accounts (with 5,500+ instruments) and offer the best native platform experience we’ve seen.

What Can I Trade on Capital.com?

Capital.com claiming 5,500+ markets to trade

Trading Markets – 5 / 5 Stars

Capital.com offers 5,500+ instruments: Forex CFDs, Stock CFDs, Index CFDs and more. I wanted to put this to the test. We started on their native platform, searching for random pairs (see our Best TradingView Brokers article for exactly what we did there). We started with SGDZAR (as we always do) and we found something interesting.

Whilst they didn’t have this exotic Forex CFD (most brokers don’t apart from CMC), they did end up showing us what actually contributed to their depth: ETFs & Shares.

Now this is interesting for several reasons.

The Positives

  • The ETF and stock range point to more of a Trading 212 comparison or even an IG-style broker (which we’ll come onto later).
  • The Forex CFD depth is there. Most major and minor forex CFDs are available but don’t expect a wide range of exotics. A bonus is how easy they are to find – simply click on the little flag icon and you get a list of those forex CFD pairs (see screenshot above).

The Drawbacks

  • The lack of exotics and minors is not a bad thing necessarily given they are relatively niche products – but don’t expect CMC-style range here.
  • If you are looking for a forex-only broker that specialises in depth and range across majors, minors and exotics, Capital.com might not fit the bill.

Capital.com popular markets UK section

So this bit is a little different to other broker reviews we cover, as Capital.com actually has a popular markets section. Not only do they have a popular markets section, but this is actually tailored to the UK on my account (given we’re based in the UK) This is actually rare amongst major brokers.

I can only think of three brokers off the top of my head that do this: IG, CMC and Trading 212. Capital.com positions itself squarely in that category for several reasons.

What You Can Trade:

  • Forex: You get access to around 120+ currency pair CFDs, including majors, minors.
  • Indices: You have 35+ major index CFDs to trade and all the expected major indicies are there: FTSE 100, S&P 500, Nasdaq etc.
  • Commodities: 65+ commodity CFDs to trade including Gold, Natural Gas, wheat and Soy Beans.
  • Shares & ETFs: 1000+ share CFDs in the UK – you won’t be short of stock CFDs to trade. Whilst no publicly available figure exists, the number of share CFDs we found was exceptional.
  • Bonds: You can invest in Gilts, Bunds, and US treasury bonds.
  • Interest rate instruments: Eurobor & SONIA futures are also available.

My Experience:

Given the range of instruments you would think that Capital.com is a confusing, difficult platform to use, I mean where else can you trade SONIA futures, Bonds and Forex CFDs? CMC immediately springs to mind, but we all know that the drawback with CMC is the platform ease of use. Capital.com has solved this problem.

Not only do you get access to advanced instruments but you get an easy-to-use platform which makes it a breeze to discover exactly what you are looking for and not bogged down by unrelated instruments.

Verdict:

Capital.com offers the standard forex pairs that most other major platforms offer. But they go one step further. They offer bonds, interest rate futures, a huge range of stocks and ETFs all discoverable and accessible in one easy-to use platform.

They lack the forex exotics and minor pair CFD range that CMC offers but compete well on the range of advanced instruments like bonds, interest rate futures and share CFDs for UK traders.

Capital.com Summary.

Capital.com competes with IG and CMC, not mid-tier brokers. They offer a wide-range of tradable instruments catering to advanced professionals and beginners.

Pros

  • Most FX pairs and commodities available
  • Trade bonds, interest rate futures and ETFs

Cons

  • Not the widest range of forex exotic or minor pair CFD.

What Are the Fees for Capital.com?

Fees – 5 / 5 Stars

Capital.com is super transparent with their fee structure. They list all their fees on their pricing page.

Here’s the TLDR: Capital.com requires a £20 minimum deposit to start trading. They do not charge commissions or have a commission-only account (like pepperstone’s Razor or Vantage’s Raw ECN account). They only charge the spread (standard practice). And that’s it! It’s one of the easiest and most transparent brokers when it comes to fees. So, let’s dig into the spreads and see what we are working with…

What to Expect:

  • Forex & Index Spreads: From our testing, we noticed forex spreads of around 0.7 pips for GBP-demoninated pairs and the lowest we saw was 0.5 pips in EURUSD. Whilst not promising anything for traders these are roughly the spreads to expect and that’s in line with market pricing from most major brokers..
  • Share & ETF CFDs: No commission on Share CFDs – a huge bonus here again – compared to IG and CMC that average around £10 for their share CFD commissions… Capital.com is a winner.
  • Inactivity Fees: Capital.com doesn’t charge an inactivity fee – which is a huge plus – and something to consider if you are traing on CMC which is one of the few brokers that still charges one.
  • Deposit/Withdrawal Fees: No internal deposit or withdrawal fees either.

My Experience:

We tested Capital.com on Wednesday 1st July at 15.30 – this is during US & UK trading times, and we should expect to get tight spreads. What we found is that Capital.com does in fact offer extremely tight spreads for forex pairs (see screenshot below) both on GBP-demoninated pairs and USD-denominated CFD pairs.

UK-demoninated CFD pairs on Capital.com
GBP FX Pairs on Capital.com

However, naturally, USD-demoninated pairs offered tighter spreads (see below).

UDS-demoninated spread costs on Capital.com in July 2026
UDS-demoninated spread costs on Capital.com in July 2026

Whilst not publically committing to spread costs like most other brokers (other brokers often say from 0.5-0.6 pip spreads) Capital.com instead relies on their dynamically loaded spreads on their pricing page (see below).

Dynamically loaded spread costs from Capital.com
Dynamically loaded spread costs from Capital.com

Verdict:

From these images and our experience trading on Capital.com we saw Capital.com’s pip spreads hover at around 0.7 – 0.8+ or higher on certain Forex CFD pairs. Whilst that’s certainly not the lowest we’ve seen it’s also not the highest. It sits slightly above IG and is more in line with Pepperstone on spread costs.

The minimum deposit of £20 is not bad, but most brokers have moved towards a minimum of £10 or no minimum, whilst not a huge barrier this is also something to consider.

Capital.com Fees Summary

Capital.com is a broker that keeps it simple. You only have to think about spread costs. Whilst fees were higher than other brokers on the site, for what you get in pure range of instruments and ease of use, it feels like a fair trade-off.

9
Our Score

Pros

  • Not much to think about with extra charges
  • Keeps it very simple

Cons

  • Higher pip spreads than other brokers
  • £20 minimum deposit might put off some traders from opening an account.

What Are Capital.com Trading Platforms Like?

Trading Platforms – 5 / 5 Stars

Capital.com’s native webtrader experience is one of the best around. It offers a clean UI that you can switch from light mode to dark mode, there’s a nifty navigation sidebar – something that might remind you of Trading 212 or IG – and a search bar so you can find everything super quickly.

They offer their proprietary platform, mobile app, TradingView, MT4 and an API. Whilst there is no MT5 available, they more than make up for it with the quality of their other platforms.

In fact, Capital.com’s native webtrader platform wins our ‘Best Platform Experience‘ award in 2026. The reasons become clear once you login.

What’s Available:

  • Proprietary Webtrader: This is the single best platform to trade with Capital.com. Not only do you immediately get access to it once you login, but it’s simple enough to navigate whilst having the depth of 5,500 instruments to trade.
  • TradingView: If you are a newer trader and want to use TradingView then this is also available.
  • Mobile App: Another exceptional offering. Simple, easy to use and all the best bits from their native webtrader experience.
  • MT4: For MetaTrader fans, there is no MT5, but MT4 is available.
  • API Access: Something only a handful of brokers offer, Capital.com offers API access to traders with real-time pricing.

My Experience

Capital.com’s webtrader experience, was frankly one of the best I’ve used, it’s clean, easy to navigate, you can find any instrument in seconds and it’s just super polished. There is a built-in economic calender – something you usually have to go hunting around for from other brokers! There is also a list of your trades, your ‘Portfolio‘, indicators like TradingView and alerts you can setup.

It’s also super easy to navigate and find any instrument you’re looking for. This makes their platform exceptional gievn their sheer range of 5,500 instruments.

Navigating Capital.com’s Instruments on Their Native Platform

The experience felt suitable for beginner, intermediate and advanced traders. It takes all the best bits of other platforms like IG’s clean charting, Trading 212 & CMC’s thematic bucketing of instruments, and XTB’s breaking news / market analysis and combines it to make one of the best platforms for all kinds of skill levels and no matter what your prefered instruments.

On TradingView, Capital.com’s full instrument range was on display, reminding you it’s not just a pretty face. After searching for forex exotics and minors Capital.com was present for almost all of our searches (see screenshot below) and appeared for a wide-range of instruments. You won’t be short of instruments to trade here.

Verdict

If you are looking for a trading platform that ticks all the boxes: great market information, fantastic navigation, easy-to-use and still has the range of instruments that would make your friends jealous, then Capital.com is the go-to broker.

If you are new to trading and want to imagine what it’s like to trade on Capital.com, imagine TradingView & Trading 212 had a baby. That’s how good it is. If you are an intermediate or advanced level trader then Capital.com’s platform is like the best bits of CMC, IG and XTB combined.

Is It Easy to Get Up and Running on Capital.com?

Onboarding Process – 5 / 5 Stars

Yes, onboarding for Capital.com took minutes. Their onboarding screenis all contained nicely in one journey and you are prompted to fill out your details step-by-step, no information overload.

Capital.com's Onboarding Screen

You go through the standard terms and conditions process, you also go through a bit of quick personalisation, asking you what you like to trade and your experience. You can also choose which account type you want -spread betting or CFD trading – this makes the whole KYC / onboarding process feel more engaging and enjoyable than other brokers where you have information overload with far too much information.

Capital.com's Onboarding

My Experience:

KYC was actually, or the first time, an enjoyable experience. They made the whole process feel quick, and painless, as it should be! Depositing was easy, I used a debit card, and funds were deposited instantly so i could start trading.

Verdict

Again an excellent experience, in fact one of the most painless onboarding, KYC and deposit processes from any broker.

Is It Easy to Deposit and Withdraw Funds on Capital.com?

Deposit & Withdrawal – 5 / 5 Stars

Depositing and withdrawing money with Capital.com is simple with no additional fees and a decent choice of funding options for UK traders. The minimum deposit £20 is competitive and suitable for serious traders

What You Can Use:

  • Debit/Credit Cards: Typically instant for deposits, which is ideal if you want to start trading right away.
  • Bank Transfer: Usually takes 1–2 business days depending on your bank, and works well for larger sums.
  • Other Methods: Availability can vary by region, but UK traders generally have a solid choice of conventional options.

My Experience:

Funding the account via debit card was straightforward, with funds appearing in the account very quickly. Withdrawals via bank transfer landed within the 1-3 business days, and there were no additional fees.

As always, you still need to watch out for currency conversion fees, but that’s true of almost every broker.

Verdict:

No issues at all withdrawing and depositing from Capital.com. There is a minimum deposit of £20, but this is not really a barrier.

Capital.com Withdrawals Summary.

Capital.com has a good deposit and withdrawals process, they have a minimum deposit of £20 but this doesn’t affect anything meaningfully.

Is Capital.com Beginner‑Friendly?

Education – 3.5/ 5 Stars

Yes, Capital.com is extremely beginner-friendly, but don’t confuse their beginner-friendliness with a lack of information! Let me explain. They offer a wealth of educational resources: a demo account, a glossary, information on technical analysis, strategy and trader psychology – this is above and beyond what most brokers offer.

Capital.com's Beginner Guides

What’s Available:

  • Trader Psychology Guide: No other broker that we’ve reviewed offers this, Capital.com is a leading broker that really does offer something new here.
  • Technical Analysis Guides: Capital.com offer guides to help traders understand technical analysis, how to use tools and what they all mean
  • Trading Strategy Guides: Covering swing trading, position trading, day trading and trend trading, they provide detailed guides for beginner to understand fundamental strategy & trading styles.
  • Market Analysis: Broken down into commodity, stock indices and economic news, this is fairly comprehensive. Whilst not updated daily or hourly like IG’s market analysis, they provide some decent information on the market.

My Experience:

Capital.com's Market Analysis
Capital.com’s Market Analysis

Their educational material feels very much aimed at beginners, which is great, and they offer detailed articles. I would’ve appreciated more video content as the pages are quite dense, but overall it’s a solid offering of unique content.

Capital.com's Day Trading Guide
Capital.com’s Day Trading Guide

Verdict:

Whilst Capital.com does offer educational material, it’s still a far cry from the level of depth and information as IG Academy. Their ‘Market Analysis‘ page needs updating far more frequently for intermediate and advanced traders, however, they do offer breaking news and data directly in their platform, so if you are looking for that then look in the platform itself, not in their guides.

If you are a brand-new trader, then these guides might be useful but more video content would make this a real stand-out. Their platform offering, as mentioned above, if extremely suited for beginners though, with a great easy to use navigation / search bar, and clean charting.

Capital.com Beginner-Friendly Summary

Great breadth but not much depth. Their coverage. isthere but more video content needed, and more regular market analysis could help them stand out.

7
Our Score

Pros

  • Great beginner content
  • Market data available in their platform

Cons

  • Analysis page needs more regular updating
  • Not enough video content.

Final Verdict

Capital.com is one of those brokers that excels at multiple things. They offer a great native platform experience and mobile trading experience. They also excel in instrument range, offering 5,500+ CFDs to trade and they also offer spread betting options.

They appear for most major and minor pairs on TradingView, (although not as comprehensively as something like CMC), they offer MT4, and even API access. They are a grown-up broker, made for the 21st century. Their spreads are transparent and their fees are very low there are no hidden surprises. They have a good breadth of educational material but it needs a bit more work to fully compete with some other brokers like IG.

I’d recommend Capital.com if you are a trader of any skill or experience level and trading almost any instrument (with 5,500+ it’s hard to go wrong).

❌ Consider alternatives if:
